2022 Pinot Noir JS
Location:
A cuvée of the best Pinot Noir grapes from our steep vineyards in Rech and Dernau. These are slate weathering soils with loess-loam. The slope faces south-east to south.
Vinification:
The grapes are strictly selected and fermented for 17 days at controlled temperatures, without stems, on the mash. The mash was chaptalized. The wine was aged for 17 months in new and used barriques. Malolactic fermentation took place during this time.
Tasting Notes:
The wine has an intense burgundy red with violet reflections. The aroma of cherries, blackcurrants and mint is harmonious. Full-bodied with spicy-chocolatey notes and soft tannins, which underline the long finish.
Recommendation:
The wine is recommended with dark meat and lamb, preferably with rich sauces. Pinot Noir JS pairs perfectly with game and wild fowl dishes.
